Murri Women’s Softball Tournament

Saturday, 29th – Sunday, 30th May 2021

The 2021 Murri Women’s Softball Tournament will be held at Ipswich Softball Association, 125B Chubb St, One Mile QLD 4305. 

This will be the seventh year of the tournament and teams are invited from all over Australia to participate. All participants must register online and be added to their team list. 


Eligibility to Participate

a) All players must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island heritage.
b) Officials may be non-Indigenous family members (or friends).
c) All players must be 15 years of age and over on the first day of the tournament.

Team organisers will be required to sign a final team list prior to players taking the field. By signing the form, the team organiser will confirm each player on the team list is Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and that they are aware that any team which breaches the ruling will be eliminated from the tournament.

Team Lists

  • Online team list must have a minimum of 9 players by Friday, 2nd April 2021.
  • Final team list to be checked by Friday, 21st May 2021.
  • There is a minimum of 9 players and a maximum of 15 players per team.

If your team is unable to provide a scorer for the tournament, please contact SQI at least 4 weeks before the tournament so one can be organised. The set fee for SQI officials is $150 for the weekend which is to be paid through SQI 4 weeks before the tournament.


Each team must pay an entry fee of $350 to SQI to participate. Teams must also pay an umpire fee of $150 as SQI will organise all umpires for the event. Teams can divide this fee amongst their participants as they please.
SQI will only be accepting 1 payment per team. The $500 ($350 team entry and $150 umpire fee) MUST be paid before Friday, 2nd April 2021 for a team to participate in the tournament.
